Monthly Meeting Minutes
March 1, 2004

Meeting
Minutes Approved – The minutes of the Feb 2,2004 were
approved.
Coaching
Committee – Play
up proposal presented and was approved as proposed.
Website
update: Steadily getting populated. Charlie Cements needs 20 minutes of
a senior coaching member’s time to capture the
basic aspects of coaching messages for the coaching tab.
Nominating
Committee: There is one member rotating off the board
(Bruen) and 2 resignations. Colette Twigg will stay on for one more
year. This leaves us with three positions to fill. We have recommended
John Fay, Martha Boreman, and Susan Payson to be voted onto board
at the annual meeting.
New Business
Uniforms -Agreed
to go with Martha’s recommendation. A great
deal. Also go with two white t-shirts and numbered pinneys for U
9 –10.
State Fees are going up from $250 to $280 per team
There appear to be u 9 teams developing next year. If these do become
viable with enough teams we agreed to also consider.
Jim Goodrich
will draft general guidelines for reference re playing time, focused
on u-12. Also remind er of the guideline already in
place for u-9 –u-11 based on soccer Maine guidelines.
Phil Bruen will contact Falmouth Community programs with Ben Wiegel
re field availability for the fall classic that will dictate the
size of the event.
Tom Monroe tendered his resignation. The Board thanked him for his
support of youth soccer and the kids, though his active participation
as a board member and coach for over 7 years.
Important Dates:
- Annual
Meeting. Set for April 5th, Russell room of Falmouth Memorial
Library, 7 PM
- Player
registration date, April 28th 7-9 PM. Falmouth Middle School.
- Fees – same
as last year $75.00 plus $15 for registration, $25 if late.
- Try
out dates – May 22nd u12-14 after 12 noon and May 23rd
U10 &U11.
Future
Meetings:
Annual Meeting April 5th at Falmouth Memorial Library – Russell
Room 7 PM. May 3rd, Norway Savings Bank - 7PM, June 7th Norway Savings
Bank 7 PM.
